I ask everyone to DL the PDF package and read everything. it does not take that long and it vitally important to the future of our country and those fighting for same. ;-)

Please note how long Mr. Wolf has been trying to get attention to this matter and has been ignored by the present administration. :-?

If we could make this a big an issue as the Jerry Meekins vs Spirit Airlines debacle, it could become an election issue that throws the present lame administration out of office! :-*

If you have a website, blog and/or FaceBook page please post this material and the background on same as I have done here: http://tommybarrios.com/observations/middle-east-matters/

    and here : https://www.facebook.com/webzightdotcom

Peace be unto you and yours :-)

Jesus, just another case of the "ignore it and it will go away" policy of Obama's Administration - what a joke! Unfortunately, both my son and daughter are now picking up the flag and carrying on the long tradition that we military families make every year - I hope someday our "leadership" stops ignoring the facts staring them in their faces!!!

The precious blood that our men and women have shed in Afghanistan will always be honored and never thought a waste. Duty and honor and courage and every emotion humanly possible have all been in the service of their nation. Time to serve them. If the U.S. government cannot exhibit the same guts that our troops do and make every effort to win--whatever that may entail to truly get the job done, then bring them home. Since it looks like we're not committed to any goal other than making the U. S. the weak horse, bring them home.

The only problem with that scenario is that it will be a repeat of all previous retreats by foreign interventionist powers, miserable deadly defeat followed by horrific civil war

DL the PDF package, read all of it, you'll then understand why 'cut and run' is a very, very bad idea at this time!

Ambassador Tomsen is correct in his observations and analogies for a future successful out come in the Middle East as a whole! 8)

Michael -- I honor your service on the firing line as Member and Reporter. I do not believe that you have the necessary information and vision to project that skilled and determined diplomats and strategists will be unable to pull these chestnuts out of the fire. A broad solution involving Iran,Pakistan, India and Afghanistan with collateral involvement of Central Asia and PRC interests has little if anything to do with the exchange of eighty-ones and RPGs in the Provinces. War does not solve anything. It sets the stage for creative solutions or self-immolation when everyone gets tired of the dying. Billy

This pathetic effort by Congressman Wolf to elicit a reply from Secretary Panetta is yet another example of an imperial executive branch ignoring the legislative. Panetta thinks that Wolf is small potatoes, even though he is on the Appropriations Committee, and Panetta obviously thinks that he does not need not need to show Wolf the slightest courtesy.

How difficult would it be for Leon Panetta to have his staffers schedule a call with Congressman Wolf? Such a phone call could literally take ten or fifteen minutes out of his day.

When a Secretary of Defense ignores a Congressman like this, a signal is sent: you are not important, you are not a "player," you carry no heft in the halls of Washington decision-making, you can be ignored with impunity.

This interaction, or rather, the lack of it, is symbolic of the imperial Obama presidency, which has systematically attempted to rule by fiat and executive order.

Thank God that we can vote out the entire cast of scoundrels in November.

I hate to wish my life away! But I wish November was around the corner. This Administration is by far the worst I've seen. Besides their too busy chasing the SS Prostie Scandal wasting money and chasing every lead. No one got killed here it was normal men being men who got caught yet it continues to be the Hot Washington Topic. The hell with Dustoff or our Military people getting killed. If the Administration continues to duck, dodge and dance around serious life threatening issues than stay home in your own backyard. Why volunteer to give your life for a war that means nothing? Where is the threat to the USA we took care of them. Why do we sign a 10 year commitment plan with Afganistan?

I was in college in Hawaii in the '80's. The US was building nuclear power plants in Pakistan; our Pakistani friends were laughing their pants off at how stupid Americans were to believe these plants were to be used only for peaceful purposes. We all knew and we all knew that the US government and the businesses making the big money knew they were to be used to make bombs. I remember being very afraid.
