Taliban Calls Murder of Woman Idiotic and Horrific

A recent video surfaced in Afghanistan showing an unarmed woman being murdered by gunfire.  There has been much speculation about why the murder occurred, and who is responsible.

I asked the Taliban for a statement:  "Does the Taliban agree with the execution that was on the recent famous video?"

An answer, from the address of Zabihullah, stated in Pashto:

Peace be upon you,

If we could answer to the below e-mail as such: In this incident our mujaheddin does not have any hands, this act has been carried by the locals of that particular village or area, our officials & Mujaheddin are unaware of the incident, also the punishment which has been carried does not match with Sharia Law as well, because before punishment, a proper investigation needs to be launched & when & if the accused were to be held guilty then that is not how the accused got punished. According to Sharia Law there will be a different type of punishment which will also include both individuals not just one.  Therefore this has nothing to do with Sharia Law or with us and to blame us for such an idiotic and horrific act is not fair.

    Really, so you're cool hanging a 7 yr old during the middle of a soccer game, from a goalpost, because he is a "US Spy," but this doesn't fit? So, you're cool blowing up girls schools but a single woman suddenly the punishment doesnt fit? Really? So a girl studies books, blow her up but if she sleeps with someone (allegedly) she gets a second look? Really? really?! *faceplant*

    Obviously, these are lawless thugs who make their own laws and judgements and decide for themselves what is right. The responder to your email is simply trying to wash his hand of this association.

    The well-documented, horrific and murderous, reign of the Taliban in Afghanistan speaks in far louder volumes to their true feelings about this incident than this lame-ass response.

    Woah!
    The Qur’an in Sura 2:282 says, “...And get two witnesses, Out of your own men. And if there are not two men, Then a man and two women, Such as ye choose, For witnesses, So that if one of them errs, The other can remind her....”
    “Narrated Abu Sai’id Al-Khudri: The Prophet said, ‘Isn’t the witness of a woman equal half of that of a man?’ The women said, ‘Yes.’ He said, ‘This is because of the deficiency of the woman’s mind.” Bukhari vol.3 no.826 p.502.

    There are no women's rights in Islam.

    So if a Muslim man were to rape a Muslim woman, the man’s word would count twice as much as the woman’s. The word of a non- Muslim does not count at all in a court of law against a Muslim. Muslim man rapes a non- Muslim woman, even if a second non-Muslim woman is present, his word (that he did not do it) would count equal to the word of both of them.

    I wonder how if any major news will cover this video?

      The Bukhari is not a part of the Koran. The Bukhari are a collection of Hadith. Hadith are sayings attributed to Muhammad, but are not in the Koran. Most Muslim scholars and theologians will tell you that plenty of Hadith were probably made up by individuals long after Muhammad's death in order to fit political agendas. The Koran says nothing of killing adulterers - it prescribes lashing (harsh, but then again, it was written in the 600s). Of course, all wanton violence is wrong. The Taliban is distorting their own religion to win converts to their campaign of violence.

    Well, it's good that they disavow it, but color me skeptical if I don't take their word at face value. This was clearly done by fellow travelers and most likely members of the Taliban.

    How does he know the executioners didn't do an investigation if they are unaware of the incident?

    Given the history, they don't have a problem using deception against the infidel.

    The guys who put this BS statement together should be hired for White House PR. Talk about we are squeaky clean and would never to something like that. Plus they thing and so do I that the Touchie Feelie Americans will eat this statement up! Basically they believe we are weak and stupid!

    I would have liked to see the arming and training of Afghan women into an army core, capable of defending themselves against these thugs. If this was possible, I would expect quite a few volunteers from the ranks of Afghan women who had enough of this ...

    @SteveB. Now that's a great idea. The best part is the Afgans would never stand for that and throw us out of their country. I been saying right along go in take care of the terrorist training camp and get out. Monitor the place from the sky and screw the Packys. We are wasting American lives and our money for what?
    If the peopleof the USA would grew a set of big ones we should just not let any Muslim males in between 14 and 60 years old. They did it during WWII and like it when history repeats itself.

    The Taliban have a confirmed history of such assassinations of women. This single "spokesman" is a political mouthpiece and is using you as his lips. There is nothing forbidden to them when dealing with infidels, especially lying to gain trust.

    Yeah, the proper punishment, per the Qur'an and Hadiths, is stoning. If I recall correctly the woman gets buried to her waist or slightly above with her hands tied to her sides. The man gets buried to the neck.

      That is only in the Hadith - which are sayings attributed to Muhammad but most likely made up long after his death. The punishment in the Koran is lashing - no mention of stoning.

    Strangely enough, I tend to believe the Taliban on this one. As we've seen with the cases of Sahar Gul, who was tortured by her husband and his family before she managed to escape, and the woman who was recently beheaded by her husband (along with their two children) in Ghazni, the Taliban does not have a monopoly on violence against Afghan women.

    For some reason we only hear about horrific crimes against Afghan women when there is alleged Taliban involvement. The reality is that the vast majority of Afghan women are harassed, persecuted, beaten, and denied access to justice by men with zero affiliation with the Taliban. But this is largely ignored because it doesn't fit our narrative that great strides have been made for women's rights in Afghanistan and only our fight against the Taliban will ensure they keep those rights.

    Wow! That was eye opening! This is just further oroof that Sharia Law and Islam have no place in American society, especially not as a rule of law! Afghanistan has quite a history of lawlessness and all of it can't be laid on the hands of the Taliban but they perpetrate this kind of brutality and are participants in far too much of it to just deny it! Keep up your great work Michael. And thanks for your perspective here!...

    I watched the video and that is disgusting. This is one of the concerns Deaf people have about Sharia law concerning theft because we are hungry and need food as Deaf people we depend on our hands for sign language communication. Normally Deaf people prefer not to steal but during times of homelessness or in survival mode. Deaf people may steal food or money from the church's poor funds by the doors of the church or steal from the food store. If Sharia law was implemented and there were no churches but islamic mosques forced upon Americans especially the Deaf people. No freedom in the U.S.A. Many Deaf people will fight islam and I think the video is another way the tablian is practicing Taqiyya. I would not trust the tablian or islamic terrorists or the imams at all. That is also wrong use of military training. Executing women and children is clearly evil. I really hope the tablian did not do this but given their history of killing women and children. How are we to know the tablian did not do this or the tablian are practicing Taqiyya. The day the chinese, muslim and soviets invade the USA mainland, you can be sure I will be fighting for my freedom as a Deaf man from the tyranny of sharia law and going after those who kill Deaf people, women and children just like the Germans did in the 1930's - 1940's and Deaf people set themselves free whenever possible. I wish the Pentagon would allow Deaf people to serve in the U.S. Military like Israel does allow Deaf people to serve in the Israeli military. We would be excellent soldiers in rifle & pistol marksmanship and hand to hand combat when properly trained in our own language, That is American Sign Language. Going after women and children, especially the defenseless is cowardly and evil period.

    The another thing I do not understand is that if people in islam respect Jesus Christ as the prophet that he is then why doesn't these people in the video forgive the woman caught in adultery and more to the question, why are not the people in the video attacking these animals who are shooting the women to death. If a woman wants a divorce from adultery or from physical abuse etc. then she should be able to do so for the safety of her children and herself. These people in the video should have attacked these animals and shot the animals themselves. I hope the next time they will start to do more of these things in the village and say no to the tablian and anyone who behaves as an animal desiring to kill women and children. I hope there is justice and a day of reckoning for these evil men who committed crimes against women and children.

    I hope the US Army conventional troops & Special Forces in Afghanistan knows who that man in the video who shot this woman to death. What is his name ? Where does he live ? Go kick the door in and get him and execute him. Invite CNN, Fox Al Jazeera and another tv networks to watch the execution of islamic men who kill women and children be shot to death. This will spark a day of reckoning and retribution justice all over the countryside of Afghanistan.

    The US Military should force all 22 muslim countries tv networks to air the execution of muslim men guilty of killing women and children. That includes Iran too. Station US Military troops around the muslim tv networks and make sure they air the live execution of muslim men being read guilty charges of murder & crimes against women and children to be shot on tied poles. Don't bother blindfolding or giving these animals Marlboro cigarettes. That is what should be done. That video has me very angry. Shooting women and children is very evil period. Justice needs to be done for these evil men who murder women and children.

    Spot on ! That deaf man is 100 % correct in his assessment of what needs to be done to the Al Qaeda and the Tablian. I hope the terrorists are not actively seeking the deaf man's death for speaking his mind and he has certainly not minced any words.
