The serious fighting is just getting started.  There are far too few helicopters in Afghanistan.  Please send more helicopters, or more coffins.

"Some of them are 18 going on 30," said one officer of the men under his command. "They've done a lot of growing up, fast."

The soldiers at the sharp end of Britain's battle against the Taliban in Helmand have fanned out from their hub at Camp Bastion, the biggest British base to be built in decades. They are ferried to their outposts by Chinook, flying high to avoid ground fire.
